Our annual mulch sale is our largest fundraiser of the year. Each May we hold two separate sales, one in Stratford in the Bunbury Mall parking lot and one in Charlottetown in the Charlottetown Mall parking lot. Every member chips in and we enlist the help of the local Youth Can Do organization to help with the effort.

Our first sale was 4 years ago and we were thrilled to have sold an entire tri-axle (very big truck) load.  Things have progressed to the point where at our last sale we sold 8 tri-axle loads.  We sell by the bag using 50lb potato bags, generously donated by Island Bag Co. of Summerside as well as bulk by the yard.  Local firms Atlantic Cat and Reddin Farm Equipment donate the tractors to fill customers' pickup trucks.

The Irving owned Georgetown Timber is our major partner in this sale providing all the mulch, as our sale grew over the years they increased their donation.  Several trucking companies generously donate their time and their trucks by hauling the mulch from Georgetown to our sale site.  Companies like Morley Annear Ltd., M&M Trucking, Island Coastal and Kings County Construction have all helped us immensely.

We very much look forward to seeing everyone again this coming May, tentative dates are May 18-19 in Stratford and May 25-26 at the Charlottetown Mall.  Friday we start selling around 5-6 and continue until dark, Saturday we start at 8:00 and keep going until it's all gone, usually around noon.
